Digital Governance in Practice: Fireside Chat with Felix Kartte

Diese Veranstaltung liegt in der Vergangenheit.

Disinformation goes beyond unintentional misinformation – it is a powerful tool designed to mislead, manipulate and disrupt. From undermining public trust to polarising societies and destabilising democracies, its impact is far-reaching. Whether it’s influencing elections, increasing distrust or widening social divides, understanding and combating disinformation is crucial in today’s world.

Felix Kartte brings extensive experience in developing research and advocacy strategies to protect democracy in the digital age. He has also worked on policies to regulate technology companies and counter digital threats, including disinformation.

Together with Felix Kartte, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities of regulating technology, countering disinformation and safeguarding democratic values in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. In addition, we will gain insights into what it means to work in such a context.

The fireside chat will be followed by a networking reception. This event is organised by the Centre for Digital Governance of the Hertie School in cooperation with the Hertie Network on Digitalisation (HNoD).
